  • Hi.. I'm Linda Otiende; a Personal Style Blogger. I think fashion and style is all about creativity; playing around with what you have to create something unique and stylish out of it. Blogging about my personal style is an interest I developed about three years ago when I discovered that as ladies, we really go to certain extremes to look good. Yes, we gotta look good but at the end of the day that does not mean that we have to wear the most expensive clothes or shoes to be stylish. You can actually work it out in the cheapest of them yet still ooze class! So welcome to my blog where I will get to show you my personal style and how I manage to look good on a budget. I do hope you enjoy.

I love the direction Kenya is heading in terms of fashion. The rise in the number of talented designers is quite succinct judging from the unique outfits that we see featured on social media, TV, magazines and newspapers and I feel like its high time we supported our very own. That brings us to today's outfit; an ankara coat that I immediately fell in love with the minute I saw it. Let's not even start with the print on this particular one.. All thanks to one, Hellen Tolbert of House of Glamour Designs. This lady has got amazing skills when it comes to making you the perfect outfit for whatever occasion. Make sure to check out her Facebook page houseofglamour1; and Instagram page hellentolbert; Her amazing work will most definitely convince you to get something for yourself. Let me know what you think about this particular coat I'm wearing on the blog made by her.

Have yourselves a lovely day and weekend ahead.

    Cheers!

Whoever invented thrifting is just a gem! Let's not even mention the benefits that come with online thrifting all thanks to the rise in social media use that has taken thrifting to another level. I mean? How awesome is it to just shop from the comfort of your home? And then again, to be able to buy mitumba outfits from the comfort of your home is even more awesome. For this reason, I have become a thrift shopping addict and I'm always telling myself "Ugh!The price is not too much, furthermore I save costs on transport plus the effort and time to actually spend in Toi or Gikomba looking for something". So big up to whoever sells or has sold me a thrift outfit before on Instagram.

Back to my outfit for the day, whoever knows me knows my undying love for A-Line skirts. I find them very easy to wear and the fact that they can be worn to a wedding, to church, to the office or even as casual wear just makes me love them even more. Got the green one I'm wearing on the blog today from an online thrift store for just 600 Kshs (6 Dollars). I will put the details at the end of the post. And can you imagine the crop top was just 200 Kshs (2 Dollars)? Amazing, right? And that is why this thrift shopping addiction is not about to end anytime soon. So ladies, I would advise you to follow some of these online thrift stores especially on Instagram, you will thank me later!

Enjoy today's post and let me know what you think about this outfit.

    Cheers!

    Ola beautiful people.. ☺

How is your week/month coming along? Mine is perfectly fine so far, I can't complain.

I'm elated to be back on this little space of mine with a bomb outfit. Today's post features a pair of high waist cropped pants I got from chicme as part of a collaboration and I paired it with my favorite wardrobe staples; a sleeveless black coat and nude heels. No doubt these two items have featured on my blog so many times but the fun part is that I get to style them differently. For this reason, I won't stop stressing on the importance of investing in wardrobe staples as opposed to always shopping for trends which will come and go. Ladies, I repeat, invest in staples such as nude heels, black blazers (whether sleeveless or not), fitting pants, a white tee etc. that can be mixed and matched all year round through multiple seasons. You will thank me later. I added a bow tie I borrowed from my brother's wardrobe to spice up the look a bit and I absolutely loved how it turned out.

Let me know in the comments section what you think about this look.

With that, have yourselves a lovely rest of the week.
    Cheers!
