  • Hi.. I'm Linda Otiende; a Personal Style Blogger. I think fashion and style is all about creativity; playing around with what you have to create something unique and stylish out of it. Blogging about my personal style is an interest I developed about three years ago when I discovered that as ladies, we really go to certain extremes to look good. Yes, we gotta look good but at the end of the day that does not mean that we have to wear the most expensive clothes or shoes to be stylish. You can actually work it out in the cheapest of them yet still ooze class! So welcome to my blog where I will get to show you my personal style and how I manage to look good on a budget. I do hope you enjoy.

    Lipstick Review

    Happy New Year...

So glad to be back. How is your 2016 so far? Mine is off to a great start and am hoping to accomplish so much this year. Personally I don't believe in resolutions, I just have goals that I have set and I plan to work hard towards achieving them.

To start us off, I decided to do a lipstick review; something I've never done before. For quite a while, I have been the lipbalm/gloss kinda girl and each time I saw a lady rock lipstick I was like I wish I had the guts to do so. I always felt as if I never looked good but truth is I just wasn't buying the right colors for my complexion. 1 year down the line, all thanks to my mum who always insists that a lady should wear lipstick, am slowly catching up.

And with that I will show you my current favorites. Feel free to also share with me what your favorites are and I will be glad to try some of them.

Being a starter, am currently just rocking two colors; brown(light, dark and nude) and red(in different shades) so my first lot are these different shades of brown from different brands..

     1.Revlon Coffee Bean #300
    2. Revlon Pearl #205
    Purchased from KQ Duty Free

     3. Milani Minerals #4
I however don't wear this one quite often as it is too dark for me.

    4. Wet n Wild Lipstick Breeze C531C
You can purchase it online here

     5. CP Trendies Bareme #05
Got this one recently from Dubai.

Then for my next lot we have the different shades of red..

    1. Nouba Millebaci #46
This is just the one ladies.
Available at Nakumat Ukay Westlands or you can contact them on Instagram or Facebook

     2. Sleek Pearl Wine #542
    Got it from Nakumatt Mega

    3. MAC Ruby Woo A65 (Matte)
Available at the Junction Mall or Garden City Mall or any other malls
    (Beware of counterfeits though!!)

     4. LA Colours Jazzy Red LIPC300
Available at Uchumi Supermarket, Lang'ata or JUMIA. I love this brand because they are so affordable.

     5. Wet n Wild
You can purchase it online here

    Then finally we have..

     6. Revlon Love that Red #725
    Purchased from KQ Duty Free

    I hope you enjoyed...

    16. Hi there. Too bad I'm seeing this a little too late. I really love Sleek Pearl Wine... And you are right. A girl should really go for the lip color that suits her complexion. I think that confirms that you are beautiful and you know what works for you.
