  • Hi.. I'm Linda Otiende; a Personal Style Blogger. I think fashion and style is all about creativity; playing around with what you have to create something unique and stylish out of it. Blogging about my personal style is an interest I developed about three years ago when I discovered that as ladies, we really go to certain extremes to look good. Yes, we gotta look good but at the end of the day that does not mean that we have to wear the most expensive clothes or shoes to be stylish. You can actually work it out in the cheapest of them yet still ooze class! So welcome to my blog where I will get to show you my personal style and how I manage to look good on a budget. I do hope you enjoy.

    Happy New Month..

Not having much to say today, I will go straight to my outfit of the day. Got this particular sweatshirt am wearing from Rosegal. Decided to wear it with a pencil skirt; a look I've never tried before and I absolutely loved how it turned out.

Just to let you know that am taking a break from blogging and I will be resuming normal posting in January.

All in all, enjoy today's post and have a blessed weekend and month of December. Thank you so much for your love on the blog; I appreciate you guyz so much.

Every lady needs at least one statement coat in her closet that will add more glam to her outfit. Personally am not so good in layering outfits when its cold so I always go for such statement coats that will scene steal and at the same time keep me warm.

Got this particular coat am wearing on the blog today from SheInan online clothing shopping site that specifically targets women. I especially love the leather detail on the back and the fact that it comes with its own leather belt. Very warm if you ask me. In fact, pardon me if you spot me in this coat quite a number of times..I mean? Who wouldn't give in to such awesomeness?! Furthermore, am a victim of repeating outfits especially if I find something I really like but good thing is I always come up with different ways of styling them; advantages of being a fashion blogger; you get to be creative with what you have.

I wore this look with Olivia Pope in mind and its just perfect for the office ladies.
Enjoy today's post and keep warm.
    Peace.

Hello from this other side beautiful people. Been feeling so uninspired to blog lately and that explains my silence for the past few days. I however decided to break the silence with a simple post on 'What's in my Bag' which is contrary to my usual outfit posts.

It's been a while since I did a post on this so I decided hey!Why not? I do hope you enjoy taking a peek into what I carry in my bag. Feel free to let me know in the comments section what you can never leave the house without and also what you think a girl needs to have in her bag that I may have forgotten to include.

    1. Spectacles
    2. My phone
    3. Sunglasses in case the weather decided otherwise
    4. Notebook and pen (very important in case of impromptu meetings) or situations where you may need to note down something; I know we are digital nowadays but believe me a notebook can come in handy in situations you could never imagine

    4. USB Cable
    5. Small ladies purse that you can use for days when you don't feel like carrying your bag around

    6. Toiletries bag (The one with patterns)
    7. Wet Wipes
    8. Vaseline
     9. Hand Lotion
    10. Makeup (Lipstick, Foundation, Foundation Brush etc; I normally keep mine in a makeup bag only that I didn't capture it as part of the pics)
    11. Small bottle of cologne
    12. Pocket Tissues
    13. Luron NailPolish Remover Pads (Chipped nail polish is a turn off)

    14. Superglue (This one you can never miss in my bag)
    15. Nail cutter (Not just for cutting nails; can also be used for cutting those hanging hemlines)
    16.Cotton buds

    17. Bottle of water (A must! You gotta be hydrated..)

    Hope you enjoyed ☺☺

It is not happy people who are thankful, but thankful people who are happy ~Unknown

2016 is almost coming to a close and my question to you today is, "What are you thankful for?" Is it good health, life, friends, family, a job? Just spare a few minutes and come up with a gratitude list and you will be amazed at how God has really blessed you. Remember that blessings is not necessarily about that big job or house you have; the fact that you woke up in good health is also a blessing in itself.

All in all, I want to believe that you are well and the month of October has been kind to you. Today's post is all about palazzos..perfect outfit for the current Nairobi weather; loose fitting and very light. Paired mine with a vest and a sleeveless coat to spice up the look a bit. I do hope you enjoy the post.

Have a lovely week and a blessed November.

    xx

    Blazer | Skirt | Top | Shoes

I love that animal print outfits are not restrictive to any particular season. They can be worn anytime and with absolutely anything. In fact, they add glam to a rather plain outfit. Decided to pair my print top with a cape blazer from Rosegal. Honestly speaking, cape blazers are a bit too expensive here in Kenya and I just couldn't say no to this one from Rosegal. Check out their site to see what they have in store for you; very pocket-friendly prices and totally worth it.

All in all, I hope your week has been good so far. Enjoy the rest of it.

The past few weeks in Nairobi have been relatively hot but hey!Who am I to complain? Honestly speaking, I would rather deal with the heat as opposed to rain or cold.

Anyway, I hope the month of October has been kind to you so far. Today, I decided to do something different on the blog; I decided to create a 'summer outfit ideas' wishlist. I know we don't experience summer in Kenya but kinda feels like it. So here's a little outfit inspiration from SheIn.com.

If you are an avid reader of my blog, I previously did a post here where I featured a midi body-con dress from them. Y'all should make sure to drop by their website; you will absolutely love what they have for you.

    Stay fashionable

“If you let go a little, you will have a little peace. If you let go a lot, you will have a lot of peace.” ~Ajahn Chah

If there's one thing I've learned in the last few months, it's that some times you just have to let go and let God. It is unfortunate that quite a number of us carry so much within us. Be it frustration, anger, bitterness, resentment, anxiety, pain, loss; we always end up bottling far much than we can handle. What we don't realize is that all these use so much of our energy; energy that could have been devoted to positivity and productivity in our lives. Yes, it may be difficult to let go but once you have done that you will realize how peaceful your life will be. In fact, letting go opens up a whole world of new possibilities for you. Choose to peacefully let go whatever is stalling you; let it go and fully come to life.

    Have a blessed week.
