  • Hi.. I'm Linda Otiende; a Personal Style Blogger. I think fashion and style is all about creativity; playing around with what you have to create something unique and stylish out of it. Blogging about my personal style is an interest I developed about three years ago when I discovered that as ladies, we really go to certain extremes to look good. Yes, we gotta look good but at the end of the day that does not mean that we have to wear the most expensive clothes or shoes to be stylish. You can actually work it out in the cheapest of them yet still ooze class! So welcome to my blog where I will get to show you my personal style and how I manage to look good on a budget. I do hope you enjoy.

Hey? Am hoping your week has been awesome. Today being a Friday, I decided to go casual in a pair of jeans and a white tee.

    Enjoy..:-)

    Yours,
    Linda's World of Style

The good thing about an all black outfit is that you have the power to spice it up. When you decide to put on a black LBD and black heels then your outfit will look monotonous but when you decide to throw in a colorful clutch purse or a metallic belt or even bold jewelry then your outfit brightens up. But don't get me wrong though, an all black outfit rocks. Am just showing you ways you can spice up your look to break the monotony it would otherwise bring.

So with that I will share a few rules I picked from the internet on how to look good when wearing black...
    1. A black outfit is the perfect canvas for a pop of color in your accessories so add colorful accessories to your all black outfit. A bright scarf, colorful bag/clutch purse, a hat, metallic belt or even shoes will give the whole outfit an attractive look.

    2. Wear make-up. You can opt to add a bright red lipstick or eye shadow to add color to your face.

    3. When putting together a black-on-black, fit becomes even more important. Take advantage of the fact that black is slimming and have the clothes be more fitted and flattering, rather than shapeless. You could opt to have cutouts or slits on your dress as seen in my previous post.

    4. Vary the fabrics and textures especially if e.g you are wearing a top and skirt/jeans.

5.You can throw in a blazer, coat, denim/leather jacket etc depending on what you are wearing.

    6. This is the time to throw in those luminous green pair of heels or floral pair that you've always wondered what to wear with.

With that, enjoy today's post and have a blessed weekend ahead:-)

The LBD is one versatile piece you shouldn't miss in your wardrobe ladies. It is chic and works best for almost every occasion. Be it a wedding, an interview(just by pairing it with a blazer), church, party out with friends, dinner, the list is endless...

Lets just say the LBD is an important piece of artillery you most definitely need to have in your wardrobe. Find the perfect fit and you are set to go. Believe you me no wardrobe is complete without this so style up ladies and get yourself one!

ION:Can you imagine I got this coat for 200Kshs (about 2 dollars)? Amazing..isn't it? Thrifting is most definitely the way to go *wink*

    Enjoy today's read..xx

Hello reader? Hoping you are keeping up well.

First and foremost I want to thank all who participated in the giveaway.  Unfortunately I had to select only two winners but don't you worry as there will be more awesome giveaways coming soon. To my winners; Congratulations Wanjiru Ng'ethe; you have won yourself the Arganoil Lotion, Maybelline Baby Lips and a Nail Polish. My second winner is Naomi Wanjiru; you win yourself the Britney Spears body Scrub and a Nail Polish.

Back to my post for today, we focus on the ankara trend; a trend that has remained timeless. It is so amazing to actually see it on the runways and even on the red carpet. This obviously shows you how much the ankara fabric has become a global fashion trend. This one most definitely counts as one of those wardrobe staples you shouldn't miss! One awesome thing about this trend is that it can be worn by both ladies and men..so amazing:-) At least for once we get to share one thing in common with the men..ha!:-)

    Enjoy today's post.

Thanks to the cold season I've had to deal with an annoying cough for almost a month now. July weather is just not my best..it should end already:-(

Anyway hoping you are keeping up well. Today's post is all about grey and silver. Got this sweater  for 50 Kshs at Gikomba and its just perfect for this kind of weather. I decided to pair it with a midi skirt and silver heels. This most definitely counts as a perfect work outfit in this kind of weather.

Enjoy and have a great weekend ahead:-)

One thing I love about thrift shopping is that you always get away with unique pieces at very affordable prices. With the terribly cold Nairobi weather, I decided to visit Gikomba Market to grab a few trench coats and so on the blog today I get to feature one of the coats I got for as low as 200 Kshs (approximately 2 dollars)..imagine? And what I loved most about it is its color and the fact that it has some bit of faux leather detail on it. So awesome..isn't it?:-)

This is an outfit you can obviously rock to work ladies! So enjoy today's post and have a productive week ahead..Remember to keep warm:-)
